RIKEN HISTORY
Our story begins in 1989, when RIKEN (THAILAND) CO., LTD. was incorporated with 120 million Baht registered capital as a Thai-Japanese joint venture between RIKEN TECHNOS CORPORATION, THAI PLASTIC AND CHEMICALS PUBLIC CO., LTD., MITSUI & CO., LTD. AND MITSIAM INTERNATIONAL LTD. and was granted Board of investment's promotional privilege for it's exports. Two years later, in 1991, our product appeared in the market when our first Compound production started at our fully equipped plant located at Bangkadi Industrial Park, Pathumthani, Thailand. We Produced PVC Compound that used in numerous applications such as parts in medical device appliances, automotive and electric products, with annual production capacity of 12,000 tons. After running the business for only one year, customers' demand grew and so did the fledgling company.

RIKEN has been undergoing many continuous improvements and expansions. Today we can produce 33,600 tons of customized medical and industrial grade PVC Compound annually and additional 9,600 tons will be added in 2001 in Engineering Plastic and General PVC Compound lines.
